Our Private Equity & Venture Capital Department serves all types of investment funds in all transaction stages. We have provided advice to infrastructure, renewable energy, real estate, debt, private equity and venture capital funds, and understand the importance of knowing the target investment industry.

We advise on the acquisition, holding and disposal of companies. Our team represents investors acquiring control or minority positions, assists fund representatives assume company board seats and counsels clients in competitive auctions. We also assist national and international financial institutions providing finance to private equity funds and help family businesses, institutional investors and fund managers structure regional funds.

We advise on regulatory issues at the national and provincial level, as well as for cross-border deals, and assist global clients with market entry strategies, either through acquisitions or the direct establishment of a local subsidiary, including corporate registrations. With potential investment opportunities located in every region, our network of correspondents throughout the country ensure clients’ regional operations are well-served, ranging from land use or logistics to compliance with issues under provincial jurisdiction such as environment regulations.

Our experience with private equity & venture capital clients also includes regulatory issues related to compliance and anti-corruption, infrastructure, governmental authorizations, labor and employment, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, tax, and real estate, including land use, zoning and permitting.

Various members of our team have studied or worked abroad as well as have experience working as in-house counsel.
