Felipe Videla is a partner at Beccar Varela, having joined the firm in 2011.

He focuses on Banking & Financial Institutions; Bankruptcy, Insolvency & Restructuring; Capital Markets; Private Equity & Venture Capital; and Project Finance. He has participated in various transactions for local and international clients.

Felipe advises financial institutions and companies in complex debt restructuring processes. He also assists clients in solving company disputes. He has advised most of the leading banks in Argentina on debt securities, syndicated loans, IPOs, tender offers, trusts, pension funds, investment vehicles and asset management, SPVs, and the sale of asset portfolios, and in all kinds of financing and other operations, both in the capital market and in the money market.

Likewise, he has advised local and international clients on the fulfillment of their registration requirements, disclosure, and other obligations before the local SEC (Comisión Nacional de Valores) and on different proceedings initiated against them, such as disciplinary proceedings. He has extensive experience in general advice to companies in business arrangements, including joint ventures, commercial contracts, and shareholding matters, among others.

He worked as a foreign associate at Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr. e Quiroga (Sao Paulo, Brazil, 2016).

Felipe received his Law degree from the Universidad Católica Argentina (graduated with honors, 2010) and his Master’s degree in Economic Business Law from the same university (graduated with honors, 2021). In 2008 he participated in an exchange program at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Additionally, he pursued post-graduate studies in Banking Law and Finance at the Universidad Católica Argentina and the Universidad Austral.

Felipe taught Tort Law at the Universidad Católica Argentina and Corporate Law at Universidad de Buenos Aires.

He is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association and the International Bar Association. Furthermore, he is an active contributor to the firm´s pro bono program and a member of the Pro Bono Commission of the Colegio de Abogados de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.
