Pablo Torretta is a partner at Beccar Varela, having joined the firm in 2001. He co-heads the firm’s Banking and Financial Institutions Department.

His practice areas include financial and banking regulations, banks and financial entities, financial loans, project finance and debt restructuring. He has in-depth experience assisting foreign investors in Argentina and has successfully participated in international funding and investment transactions. He also has broad expertise in debt restructuring procedures as well as in contentious issues regarding financial and banking regulations.

Pablo obtained his Law degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires (1995) and his Master’s Degree in Banking Management from the Universidad del CEMA, Argentina (1998). Prior to joining Beccar Varela, he worked in the legal department of Banco Santander Río, Buenos Aires, Argentina (1998-2001).

He is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association, the International Bar Association (IBA), the Argentinean Banks’ Lawyers Committee and the Argentine Forex Club.

Pablo has been recognized by Chambers Latin America and Chambers Global, The Legal 500, Latin Lawyer 250, Leaders League, IFLR 1000, LACCA Approved and LACCA Thought Leaders.
