Pedro Nicholson is a partner at Beccar Varela, where he heads the Real Estate & Hospitality Department. He is a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. He joined the firm in 1991.
His practice areas include real estate, mergers and acquisitions and commercial law in general. He has vast experience in hospitality, tourism and corporate finance.
Pedro is a lawyer graduated from Universidad Católica Argentina (1991). He obtained his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA, 1994). He also obtained a post-graduate degree in Real Estate Transactions (2006) and a post-graduate degree in Hotel Investments (2009) from the Universidad de San Andrés (2009) He worked as a foreign associate at Hogan & Hartson, Washington, DC, in 1995.
Pedro held the position of professor at the postgraduate courses of Hotel Business Management and Investments in Hotels at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (2012-2014) and at the CEMA (Centro de Estudios Macroeconómicos de Argentina, 2015).
He is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association. He is Co-Chair of the Real Estate Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Buenos Aires (AmCham), member of the Executive Committee at the Housing Entrepreneurs Association (Asociación de Empresarios de la Vivienda), Officer of the Real Estate Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA), Officer of the Latin American Law Committee of the International Council of Shopping Centers and former President of the Alumni Association of the Real Estate Business Center of the Universidad de San Andrés.
Pedro was awarded “Real Estate Lawyer of the Year 2017” by Best Lawyers. He also has been recognized by Chambers Latin America, The Legal 500, Latin Lawyer 250, LACCA Approved and by the Practical Law Company publication.
He speaks Spanish, English, French and Portuguese.
