Felipe Videla is a partner at Beccar Varela, having joined the firm in 2011.
He focuses on banking and financial law; particularly on loans, debt and equity issuances, debt restructuring, project finance and capital markets. He also practices corporate law and mergers & acquisitions. He has participated in various transactions for local and international clients.
Felipe advises companies and financial institutions on complex debt restructuring processes, mergers & acquisitions, and project financings. Additionally, he assists clients with domestic and international note issuances, the establishment of security structures, syndicated loans, asset portfolio sales, financing, and other operations.
He has extensive experience advising companies and financial entities on fulfilling their obligations under the public offering regime, and on summary proceedings initiated against them.
He worked as a foreign associate at Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr. e Quiroga (Sao Paulo, Brazil, 2016).
Felipe received his Law degree from the Universidad Católica Argentina (graduated with honors, 2010) and his Master’s degree in Economic Business Law from the same university (graduated with honors, 2021). In 2008 he participated in an exchange program at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Additionally, he pursued post-graduate studies in Banking Law and Fintech at the Universidad Católica Argentina and the Universidad Austral, as well as several courses at universities in the United States.
Felipe taught Tort Law at the Universidad Católica Argentina and Corporate Law at the Universidad de Buenos Aires.
He is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association and the International Bar Association. Furthermore, he is an active contributor to the firm´s pro bono program and a member of the Pro Bono Commission of the Colegio de Abogados de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.
