Camila Corvalán is a senior associate at Beccar Varela, having joined the firm in 2009. She leads the Public Affairs Department.
Her practice areas include public affairs, antitrust, unfair competition, consumer defense, fair trade, and international trade (dumping, import license, regulations of World Trade Organization). She has broad expertise representing clients across a wide range of industries in antitrust and international trade issues and advises national and international companies on a daily basis.
Camila is a lawyer who graduated from Universidad Católica Argentina (with honors, 2009). She obtained her postgraduate degree in Business Law from the same university (2011). She completed a specialization in Antitrust at the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2012) and, during that period, worked as a foreign associate at Gómez, Acebo y Pombo (Madrid, Spain). She obtained her Master of Laws with honors (LL.M.) from Northwestern University (Chicago, USA, 2022). Camila obtained a Certificate in Business Administration from the IE Business School (Madrid, Spain, 2022).
She authored several articles about antitrust issues, highlighting her participation in the 4th edition of “The Dominance and Monopolies Review” (The Law Reviews, Law Business Research, 2016). She has participated as a speaker in numerous congresses of her specialty.
She is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association, the International Bar Association (IBA) (in which she also participates as an official of the International Trade and Customs Law Committee), the Board of Directors of the Argentine Forum of Executive Women (FAME), the International Women Forum (IWF), and Voces Vitales women’s association.
Camila has been recognized by Chambers Latin America, Chambers Global, The Legal 500 and LACCA Approved.
She fluently speaks Spanish and English, and has basic knowledge of Portuguese.
