On March 31, 2020 the Ministry of Health of Argentina (Ministerio de Salud de la Nación) issued the Resolution 695/2020, published at the Official Gazette on March 31, 2020 (“Resolution”), by means of which it establishes that manufacturing, distributing or sales companies of non-invasive mechanic ventilators may not deliver those units without previous and express authorization of the Ministry of Health.
Section 1 of the Resolution establishes that this prohibition will remain in effect regardless of a purchase order, agreement or obligation of any nature that may have assumed the aforesaid companies.
The measure established was motivated in a federal distribution standard, the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic and the available infrastructure in public, private and social security health attention establishments, and Security Forces and National Universities installations.
The Resolution will enter into force upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
