Banco Santander Río, Banco de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires and Banco de Inversión y Comercio Exterior grant a syndicated loan to Oilstone Energía worth US$12 million.

May 31, 2018. Banco Santander Río S.A., acting as administrative agent and lender, and Banco de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires and Banco de Inversión y Comercio Exterior S.A. acting as lenders, granted a loan to Oilstone Energía S.A. worth US$12 million.
In this deal, Beccar Varela acted as counsel to the lender. It involved the negotiation and drafting of a syndicated loan and a security assignment of contractual rights to guarantee the loan repayment.
Oilstone Energía will use the loan proceeds to finance investment projects, including those related to the development of the “Cerro Bandera” concession, in the Province of Neuquén, with the aim to increase the energy production in said jurisdiction.
Beccar Varela acted as counsel to the lenders with a team led by partner Maximiliano D’Auro, and with the participation of associates Gonzalo J. Ochoa y Lucía Degano.
