Angeles Murgier named to the Board of Directors of the Environmental Law Institute.


Washington, D.C., 06/16/2020. We are pleased to announce that the Environmental Law Institute (ELI) appointed three new members to serve on its Board of Directors: Angeles Murgier, head of our Environmental Law Department, Nadira Clarke, partner at Baker Botts (Washington, DC, USA), and Paul Davies, partner at Latham & Watkins (London, England).

“Uniting diverse interests is a strength of ELI, and these distinguished individuals will bring a wealth of experience, energy, and new perspectives to the ELI Board of Directors,” said ELI President Scott Fulton. “I look forward to working with our newest members to advance ELI’s important mission of improving the environment through the effective rule of law,” added ELI Board Chair Benjamin F. Wilson. Angeles Murgier accepted the appointment, saying she is “delighted and very honored to join the board of this incredible organization”.

The goal of the Environmental Law Institute is to make law work for people, places, and the planet. Since 1969, it plays a pivotal role in shaping the fields of environmental law, policy, and management, both in the USA and abroad. ELI is an internationally recognized, non-partisan research and education center working to strengthen environmental protection by improving law and governance worldwide.
