Environmental Law Department Report | Environmental Protection Agency of the City of Buenos Aires (APrA): Resolution No. 87/2020. Extension of the effective term of certificates and of deadlines for filings with APrA. Closure of offices to the general public.
Dear Sir or Madam,
By means of Resolution No. 87/2020, the Environmental Protection Agency of the City of Buenos Aires (APrA) has provided for:
(i) A 90 calendar days’ extension of the effective term of the certificates expiring between March 16 and April 30, 2020 (applicable to all certificates issued by the APrA).
(ii) The extension of the terms to make filings in any pending administrative proceedings due between March 16 and April 30, 2020, for a 90 calendar days’ term.
(iii) All offices of APra will be closed to the public until April 12, 2020.
This Resolution further provides that the APrA will continue to make available its exclusive electronic channels to entertain the consultations of the general public and/or receive filings virtually. For such purpose, the web page https://www.buenosaires.gob.ar/jefedegobierno/ambiente/noticias/la-agencia-de-proteccion-ambiental-limita-su-atencion-al-publico-de has enabled new digital channels for proceedings regularly handled by the Reception Desk of APrA, including examination of files, delivery of documentation to be included in proceedings already in progress, new proceedings, delivery and receipt of certificates, the commencement of proceedings – module of personalized attention and consultations in general, with email addresses for each case.
