Sports Law

Our Sports Law Department advises both local and international clients, including football players, agents, clubs and sports organizations that focus on sports whether it be as a commercial activity or for advertising.

Our team advises on federative rights, disputes, intermediation contracts, economic rights agreements, sponsorship and endorsement agreements and club structuring. We have plenty of experience helping Argentine clubs cooperate with international clubs to attract young promising athletes.

Our Sports Law team works with different experts across our firm in order to provide comprehensive advice on matters related to tax law, intellectual property, copyright, money laundering as well as company law to stablish civil associations.

The sports world is governed by specific and complex regulations. Our team is in daily contact with the main actors in this field. That is how we keep our clients updated with the latest developments in sports law.

Our specialists have ample experience in sports conflicts resolution whether it be in regular courts or other alternatives like mediation and settlement in special sports mediation courts.

We collaborate with a network of correspondents around the world, thanks to our active participation in international organizations with links to sports law. Rodrigo Ortega Sanchez, the head of our sports law department, is co-founder member of the Board of Directors of the A.I.A.F. (International Association of Football Lawyers); coordinator of the Sport Law Commission of the Association of French-Latin American Jurists Andrés Bello; Head of the Sports Arbitration Commission of the Latin American Sports Law Association (ALADDE) and member of the CPACF Sport Law Institute.
