Agustín Perrino is a senior associate at Beccar Varela, having joined the firm in 2017.

He advises and represents sovereign governments, local and foreign companies on international trade regulations including – inter alia – trade remedies (anti-dumping, safeguards and countervailing duties), import licensing, trade sanctions, technical barriers to trade, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, rules of origin, tariff classification, trade facilitation, import and export tax regimes, and interpretation of free trade agreements. He also advises on customs law, antitrust (including concentration operations and market investigations) and matters related to domestic trade regulations, such as labelling and advertising of products, sweepstakes, promotion activities, loyalty programs, recalls, unfair trade practices and consumer protection issues.

Agustín obtained his Law degree from the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (2015), his Master’s degree in Law and Economics at Torcuato Di Tella University (2018) and his Master in International Law and Economics at the World Trade Institute, University of Bern, Switzerland (2022).

Agustín has published different articles on international trade law, and he is co-author of the Argentine chapter of Edward Elgar Encyclopedia of International Economic Law.

He is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association and the Forum of International Trade Lawyers of Argentina (FACIA, for its Spanish acronym).

He speaks Spanish, English and French. He has basic knowledge of Chinese.
