UK insurance provider acquires Argentine counterpart

CMS Cameron McKenna LLP in Santiago, Mexico City, Lima and London; Beccar Varela in Buenos Aires; and Holland Knight LLP in Miami have helped UK insurance provider Charles Taylor acquire Argentine counterpart Inworx for US$50 million.
Estudio Alegria Buey Fernandez Fissore Montemerlo and McEwan & Asociados in Buenos Aires, advised Inworx on the sale. The deal closed on 3 May.
Inworx is an insurance-focused technology consultancy and software provider for insurance brokers, insurers and non-traditional insurance agents Charles Taylor InsureTech is a global company based in London, which provides technology and services for the insurance market.
The deal involved the acquisition of companies and assets in several countries, including Argentina, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, and the US. The transaction also included placing approximately 9.75% of the share capital currently issued by the Charles Taylor to raise funds for the acquisition on the London Stock Exchange.
