Lacoste acquires full control of LatAm distribution chain.

Beccar Varela’s office in Buenos Aires, Veirano Advogados in São Paulo, Carey in Santiago and Ferrere (Uruguay) have helped Lacoste but joint venture partner out of the clothes company’s retail and distribution business in Latin America.

Pérez-Llorca Abogados in Madrid, Demarest Advogados in São Paulo and Guyer & Regules in Montevideo represented the seller, Argentine company Camoral. Gonzalez & Ferraro Mila in Buenos Aires is thought to have advised Camoral, while Gomez Acebo & Pombo in Madrid is understood to have advised Lacoste.

Neither confirmed its role prior to publication.

The deal closed on 12 April. Its value was not disclosed. The deal gives Lacoste full control of joint venture company Devanlay Ventures España, which oversees an industrial plant in Argentina as well as 53 shops, 18 outlets, 91 franchises, 1,500 multi-brand shops and 13 duty free stores spread throughout Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.
