Bruchou & Funes de Rioja has helped the Argentine arm of Mexican oil company Vista Energy raise US$70 million in a debt issuance.
The underwriters turned to Beccar Varela for the deal, which closed on 11 August.
Vista issued the notes under its US$800 million global programme and listed them on the country’s stock exchange, Bolsas y Mercados Argentinos. They mature in 2028 and come with a 0.99% coupon.
The company will use the funds to invest in developing and operating horizontal wells at four oil fields at Argentina’s Vaca Muerta deposit.
Vista is one of Argentina’s largest shale oil producers. Back in March, the same firms advised the company on a US$135 million offering. It is using the funds to invest in assets at Vaca Muerta, where it operates upstream and midstream projects. Argentine firms, including Bruchou and Beccar Varela, recently spoke to Latin Lawyer about how the recent inauguration of a pipeline at the Vaca Muerta reserve could bring US$30 billion in new revenue to the country’s oil industry.
