Through Resolution No. 101/2025, the Secretariat of Mining updated the amount of the annual canon per mining claim established under the National Mining Code, in accordance with the automatic adjustment mechanism set forth in Article 213 of said code. The updated amounts reflect the year-over-year variation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) published by the National Institute of Statistics (INDEC) for October 2025, which was 31.3%.
It is worth recalling that Resolution No. 90/2023 established that the canon must be updated each December based on the year-over-year CPI variation reported for the preceding month. The current update is thus based on the CPI variation for October 2025 (31.3%).
For reference, last year’s update under Resolution No. 104/2024 represented an increase of approximately 193% compared with the amount set by Resolution No. 200/2023.
