Unilever acquires the Bolivian company Astrix.
PRESS RELEASE
Buenos Aires, 27 September 2019. On 30 August closed the acquisition through which Unilever Andina Bolivia S.A. purchased Astrix S.A., one the most important Bolivian cleaning and personal care products company. For more than twenty years, Astrix has been developing its activities in Bolivia, where it produces and markets mass consumption products. In this operation, the selling party was the Lichtenfeld Group.
Baker McKenzie, Ferrere and Beccar Varela advised Unilever, while Greenberg Traurig, LLP counseled the Lichtenfeld group of Bolivia. Ferrere provided advice to Unilever on matters related to several areas of local practice in Bolivia throughout the transaction, including the drafting of a due diligence report.
