Company Law Department Report | General Inspection of Justice General Resolutions No. 14/2020 and No. 15/2020
Dear Sir or Madam,
General Inspection of Justice General Resolution 14/2020 was published in the Official Gazette on April 10th, stating that saving administrative bodies under the “closed groups” modality shall offer subscribed savers and assigned owners in contracts, whose grouping was produced before September 30th, 2019, the option to defer the rate and administrative charges according to that outlined in Section 3rd of the Resolution herein mentioned.
Deferment shall be carried out in a maximum of twelve (12) consecutive installments to become due upon exercise of the said option.
Said deferment shall be offered as from the date in which the Resolution becomes effective and shall be maintained until its due date on August 30th, 2020.
The Resolution shall come into force on the date of its publication.
General Inspection of Justice General Resolution 15/2020, published in the Official Gazette today, extends the suspension of terms foreseen in Sections 1 and 2 of IGJ General Resolution 10/2020 from April 13th, 2020 until April 26th, 2020, inclusive.
Sections 1 and 2 of the Resolution herein mentioned state the following:
(i) The suspension of the term for answering decisions as well as services of notice provided by section 24 of General Inspection of Justice Regulations is hereby extended until April 26th, 2020.
(ii) The term for submitting compliance with the annual information report, provided by Decree-Law No. 142.277/43 and General Inspection of Justice General Resolution No. 8/2015, for capitalization and savings companies, is hereby suspended until April 26th, 2020.
By virtue of measures taken by the National Government regarding the current publicly well-known epidemiological situation, the General Inspection of Justice shall not be receiving public visits until April 26th, 2020, inclusive, neither at its main headquarters nor at its offices in other professional associations.
