TMT Department Report | Resolution No. 328/2020 of the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (“ENACOM”)
Dear Sir or Madam,
Resolution No. 328/2020 of the National Telecom Regulatory Entity (the “Resolution”), published in the Official Gazette today, stresses that those small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and/or ICT’s licensees rendering services within a territory having fewer than 80.000 inhabitants are exempt from the customer service complete suspension and the closing of its commercial offices during the social, preventive and compulsory isolation established by Section 2 of Resolution No. 3/2020 of the National Telecom Regulatory Entity.
The Resolution allows the exempted SMEs and/or ICT’s licensees to implement a restricted customer service attention in order to secure the provision of the services and invoice collection despite maintaining the commercial attention and customer services implemented through electronic channels due to Resolution No. 303/2020.
In addition, the Resolution states that compliance with the security measures implemented by the National Health Ministry and the Superintendence of Labor Risks regarding the treatment of COVID-19 should be maximized.
The Resolution comes into effect as from April 7th, 2020.
Please, do not hesitate to contact us should you require any additional information on this matter.
Sincerely,
Emilio Beccar Varela
