Dear Sir or Madam,
Resolution No. 274/2021 of the Secretary of Commerce (the “Resolution”), published in the Official Gazette on March 30th, 2021, creates the “Ventanilla Unica Federal” [1] within the National Directorate of Consumer Protection and Consumer Arbitrage (hereinafter, the “VUF”).
The aim of the VUF -among others- is to promote and simplify the filing and treatment of consumer claims and invite the City of Buenos Aires and the provinces to adhere to the Resolution for its implementation in those jurisdictions.
The Resolution establishes the following:
(i) Suppliers must report an electronic domicile before the VUF within 10 business days of being served with the notice of a consumer claim. The electronic domicile provided to the VUF will be valid for future notifications issued by the National Enforcement Authority or Local Authorities that adhere to the Resolution. If the supplier has an electronic domicile already reported before COPREC, notifications will be legally issued at that domicile.
(ii) In the provider’s web pages and applications it must be included a link that allows access to the web page of the VUF consumer claims form. The link to be included shall display the sentence: “Consumer Protection. For claims. Enter here”. Providers must adequate their institutional website and applications within 60 calendar days (i.e., until 05.29.2021).
Infringements to the Resolution will be sanctioned in accordance with the provisions of Consumer Protection Law No. 24,240.
The Resolution entered into force as of its publication in the Official Gazette (03.30.2021).

[1] Provision No. 663/2019 of the National Directorate for Consumer Defense of the former Ministry of Production and Labor had already established the implementation of the VUF with the same objectives as those provided in this Resolution.
