Resolution No. 168/2020 of the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) (the “Resolution”), published in the Official Gazette today, establishes that the certificates of registration that recognize the granting of patents and utility models will be issued, digitally signed, and incorporated into the digital file.
Likewise, it was established that the priority documents and certificates that prove the status of a patent and utility model process will be issued, digitally signed, and incorporated into the digital file.
Finally, all registration certificates related to patents and utility models, priority documents, and certificates that had been digitally signed by the National Patent Administration before the publication of the Resolution were validated.
