Company Law Department Report | IGJ General Resolution No. 28/2020: suspension of terms to reply decisions and services of notice before the General Inspection of Justice (IGJ)

Dear Sir or Madam,

IGJ General Resolution 28/2020 was published in the Official Gazette on May 25th, extends the suspension of terms foreseen in IGJ General Resolutions No. 10/2020, 13/2020, 15/2020, 19/2020, and 24/2020, currently set until June 7th, 2020.

Given that from the aforementioned have arisen doubts, in certain legal persons with compulsory compliance before the General Inspection of Corporations, relating terms initiated before March 20th, 2020 ongoing since the first general suspension of administrative terms ruled by the National Executive Branch in Decree No. 298/2020, it is resolved as follows:

SECTION 1: Suspension of all terms in progress on Mach 19th, 2020, in this General Inspection of Corporations, as from March 20th, 2020 until May 24th, 2020, inclusive.

SECTION 2: General suspension of the course of terms expressly mentioned in SECTION 1, which shall be automatically extended, for as long as administrative terms are not resumed in the national scope, the reason for which it shall have full and immediate effects, regarding all types of proceedings before the IGJ.
