AFIP General Resolution No. 5581/2024

CIRCULARS

Department of Customs Law and International Trade report | AFIP General Resolution No. 5581/2024

Dear all, on October 9, 2024, this resolution was published in the Official Gazette. This resolution repeals Resolution No. 2522/87 ANA, regarding the identification regime for imported goods (stamps), and establishes a Digital Product Identification System for the identification of goods imported for consumption (hereinafter, SiDIP).

On the other hand, the identification through the International Mobile Equipment Identity Code (IMEI) is mandatory for those goods detailed in Annex I of this resolution.

Finally, in the event of failures in the SiDIP, a procedure was enabled in the Computerized System of Customs Procedures (SITA) for the affected party to report such failure together with other data that the Federal Administration of Public Revenues will impose so that the customs service may proceed to its verification.

The regulation will enter into force the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.  The implementation of its provisions and the peremptory deadlines for systemic adequacy will be determined according to the schedule that will be available on the microsite “Digital System of Product Identification” (SiDIP) of the website of this Federal Administration (https://www.afip.gob.ar), as stipulated in Article 3 of this document.

We will be pleased to answer any questions you may have.

Sincerely,

Guido H. Krokovetzky
