Dear Sir or Madam,
Resolution No. 867/2020 of the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (ENACOM), published in the Official Gazette on August 22, 2020, approves the Capacity Increase Program of the Federal Fiber Optic Network (REFEFO) (the “Program”). The Program duration will be of 2 years, until August 22, 2022, and its goal will be the fulfillment of the following purposes:
• Expand the access and transport capacity of REFEFO.
• Technologically update REFEFO equipment.
• Strengthen the availability and affordability of broadband service.
• Reduce the unavailability of the services provided through REFEFO.
• Improve the quality of ICT services by reducing latency and securing the network.
• Favor local and regional development through access to quality ICT services, regardless of their geographical location.
• Promote the use of ICT resources in municipal, provincial and national public bodies to provide better service to citizens.
