Dear Sir or Madam,
On March 30, 2020, the Ministry of Health of Argentina (Ministerio de Salud de la Nación) issued the Resolution No. 681/2020, published in the Official Gazette on March 31, 2020 (“Resolution”), by means of which pharmaceutical professionals are instructed to collaborate on the prevention of the COVID-19, Dengue and Zika viruses, with the scope established in the Resolution.
To such extent, Pharmacies, with authorized laboratories, are authorized to prepare and keep up to 5 kilos of alcohol gel and 5 kilos of insect repellent products in order to respond rationally to dispensing needs.
The authorization indicated above is for the period in which the sanitary emergency is extended.
The Secretary of Health Quality must present a Guide to Good Pharmacy Preparation Practices, giving intervention to the Sub Secretary of Quality, Regulation, and Inspection and its dependent Directorates, within a period of six months.
The Resolution will come into effect from its publication in the Official Gazette and will be applicable only in the area of the City of Buenos Aires, although jurisdictions are invited to adhere to the Resolution
