Dear Sir or Madam,

Trough Resolution No. 129/2020 the President of the Matanza-Riachuelo Basin Authority (ACUMAR) ordered to exempt from the suspension of administrative deadlines (established by Decree No. 298/2020 and ACUMAR Resolution No. 60/2020, see circulars of 03/22/2020 and 03/30/2020, respectively) to the procedures in process or initiated (regulated in the regime of inspection, control, polluting agent, adaptation and sanctions) by establishments or activities that are currently authorized to function in accordance with the exceptions established by the National Executive Power to “preventive and compulsory social isolation” or in establishments or activities that are operating even without authorization, whenever there is a possible impact on the environment and/or to people’s health.

Resolution No. 129/2020 was published in the national Official Gazette on June 10, 2020.

By means of Resolution No. 122/2020, the Environmental Protection Agency of the City of Buenos Aires (APrA) has provided for:

(i) A 90 calendar days’ extension of the effective term of the certificates expiring between March 16 and June 7, 2020 (applicable to all certificates issued by the APrA).

(iii) The extension of the terms to make filings in any pending administrative proceedings due between March 16 and June 7, 2020, for a 90 calendar days’ term.

(iv) The APrA will continue to make available its exclusive electronic channels to entertain the consultations of the general public and/or receive filings virtually. By means of Resolution No. 91/2020 the APrA has provided that all its offices will be closed to the public while the mandatory and preventive social isolation is in effect (please see our April 17, 2020 report)

Resolution No. 122/2020 was published in the Official Gazette of the City of Buenos Aires on June 10, 2020.
