New partner heads the Healthcare & Life Sciences Department.

On April 7th, 2022, Beccar Varela promoted Dr. Ana Andrés to partner, both in recognition of her talent and the great contribution she has made to the firm throughout her career. Ana heads the Healthcare & Life Sciences Department, a practice area in which Beccar Varela has been a pioneer in Argentina. For over 25 years, under advisory partner Emilio N. Vogelius’ guidance, the firm has provided advice to national and global companies on matters of healthcare and life sciences in general, offering comprehensive solutions that include areas such as corporate law, regulatory, litigation, arbitration, trademarks & patents and mergers & acquisitions.
Managing partner Horacio E. Ana joined Beccar Varela in 2003, specializing in the pharmaceutical industry, medical technology, and healthcare. She advises local and international clients on corporate law, regulatory, commercial law, litigation, negotiation & drafting of commercial agreements, complex transactions, and mergers & acquisitions. She graduated as a lawyer from Universidad Católica Argentina (2005, with honors), earned her master’s in Corporate Law from Universidad Austral (2009), and a postgraduate degree in Health Law Institutions from Universidad Católica Argentina (2020).
With Ana´s recent appointment as a partner, Beccar Varela strengthens its healthcare & life sciences practice, which is becoming more relevant every day in the corporate arena.
