Import Licensing Regime Amendment

International Trade and Customs Department report | Import Licensing Regime Amendment

We would like to report that today Disposition No. 3/2020 issued by the Undersecretariat of Policy and Trade Management was published at the Official Gazette. This new regulation modifies the lists of products subject to Non-Automatic Import Licensing (NAIL).

In this sense, the following products are now subject to the NAIL regime:
(i) Crude oil (NCM 2709.00.10);
(ii) The rest of crude oils and crude oils obtained from bituminous minerals (NCM 2709.00.90);
(iii) Gasoline – except for aviation (NCM 2710.12.59); and
(iv) Gasoil (NCM 2710.19.21).

In addition, such Disposition establishes, as an exception to the mandatory NAIL procedure, those products that (a) have an Automatic Import License (AIL) submission filed, (b) have an approved AIL, (c) are already loaded in a mean of transport and whose final destination is Argentina, (d) are in primary customs zone.
