KKR makes strategic investment in Advanta for US$300 million.

Buenos Aires, October 27th, 2022. On October 21st, the global firm KKR, a leading investment, capital markets, and insurance solutions company, and UPL Limited, a global provider of agricultural solutions, announced the signing of decisive agreements through which KKR will invest US$300 million in Advanta Enterprises Limited, acquiring a 13.33% stake in it. Advanta, a subsidiary of UPL, is a global seed company providing agricultural technology and solutions.
KKR’s strategic investment will allow Advanta to operate as a standalone platform aiming to become a global sustainability leader in the seeds production sector. KKR looks forward to working closely with the company to further expand its business regionally and globally. Its investment is aligned with a responsible investment approach, considering environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) factors with the goal of supporting companies that provide important solutions to critical social challenges, the axis of its portfolio management during the last decade.
