Decree 877/2025
International Trade & Customs Department Report | Decree 877/2025.
On December 12, 2025, Decree 877/2025 was published, through which the National Executive Branch reduced the export duty rates (D.E.) applicable to certain agricultural products, mainly those related to the soybean, wheat, corn, sunflower, barley, and sorghum complexes, as well as their by-products.
The main objective of the measure is to strengthen export capacity, promote the competitiveness of the agro-industrial sector, and contribute to macroeconomic stability, in line with the government’s policy of trade liberalization and the reduction of distortionary taxes.
The Annex to the decree details the new export duty rates for each tariff classification, with significant reductions and specific exceptions depending on the type of product and its presentation. For example, rates of 1.5% are set for wheat and soybeans in grain, 2.5% for corn, and 24% for certain soybean by-products, among others. Likewise, differentiated rates are established for products in smaller packaging and for specific by-products.
The measure will enter into force as from its publication in the Official Gazette.
We remain at your disposal for any questions regarding the scope and application of the new export duty rates established by Decree 877/2025.
