Beccar Varela wins Private Equity Deal of the Year at the Latin Lawyer Awards 2025

Buenos Aires, May 9, 2025 —Beccar Varela was granted the Deal of the Year 2024 award in the Private Equity category during the Latin Lawyer Awards 2025 charity ceremony, held on May 8th at the Rosewood Hotel in São Paulo, Brazil.

The Deal of the Year recognizes landmark transactions in Latin America. The private equity prize was awarded to Beccar Varela, along with other firms in the region, for its role in the merger between Brazilian private equity group Vinci Partners and Chilean firm Compass, which resulted in the creation of a Latin American asset management platform overseeing over US$50 billion in assets.

Beccar Varela’s managing partner Maximiliano D’Auro was present at the award ceremony and accepted the award on behalf of the firm. “We are thrilled with this recognition and proud of the collaboration and teamwork of all the firms involved in this deal. This award together with our other nomination in the same category for our work on the Mill Point-FEMSA transaction underscores the expertise of our teams and motivates us to continue delivering the best to our clients,” he stated.

In this matter, Beccar Varela acted as legal counsel to Vinci Partners in Buenos Aires. The team was comprised of partners Carolina Serra, Lucía Degano and Ramón Moyano, and senior associate María Inés Cappelletti.
