Beccar Varela adds renowned specialist in Corporate law and Energy.



Buenos Aires, March 16, 2021. Beccar Varela incorporated Dr. Ricardo Castañeda as a partner, who will join the Mergers & Acquisitions/Corporate, Project Finance, and Energy departments. Over the past years, Ricardo headed the Legal Department of YPF Luz, an electric power generation company, and a leader in the renewable energy sector.

Ricardo Castañeda is a lawyer graduated from Universidad Católica Argentina (2000). He obtained a postgraduate degree in Corporate Law from Universidad de Buenos Aires (2003) and a master’s degree in Business Law from Austral University (2005); he completed the Negotiation and Leadership Program at Harvard University (2015). He started his career at the Commercial Court No. 6 of the City of Buenos Aires. After this experience, he continued his professional career in legal advisory firms, working as an associate at Matta & Trejo and at Calatrava, García Pullés & Asociados, and as an international associate at Allen & Overy in New York. For more than thirteen years he was a member of Estudio O’Farrell, where he was a partner for eight years and headed the Corporate, Finance, and Capital Markets Department.
