Buenos Aires, October 31, 2025 — Beccar Varela announced the promotion of senior associates Gonzalo Ochoa and Juan Pablo Perrino to the category of partners, in recognition of their professional trajectories and the contribution each has made to strengthening key practice areas for the firm — banking and fintech law, and public law and mining, respectively. These appointments consolidate Beccar Varela’s growth strategy and reaffirm its commitment to providing comprehensive, high-quality legal advice in strategic sectors for Argentina’s development, such as financial innovation and mining, in a context of increasing predictability and renewed long-term private investment.

Gonzalo Ochoa joined Beccar Varela in 2013. His practice focuses on banking law, project finance, and fintech, advising banks, financial institutions, and corporations on complex local and cross-border transactions, including expertise in foreign exchange matters. He has participated in numerous syndicated loans and project finance transactions related to infrastructure and natural resources, as well as in structured financings with multilateral organizations such as the IDB, CAF, and IFC. He is also a member of the fintech team, from which he supports clients in developing payment solutions and digital financial services. He earned his Law degree from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (2008) and holds a Master’s in International Law – Investments, Trade and Arbitration from Heidelberg University and Universidad de Chile (2012).

Juan Pablo Perrino joined the firm in 2019. His practice centers on public law with special focus on mining and natural resources, advising domestic and international mining companies across all stages of project development — from structuring and permitting to execution and financing. His experience combines a solid background in public and regulatory law with a strategic outlook on the challenges faced by the natural resources industry, a sector with high growth potential for Argentina. He obtained his Law degree from Universidad Nacional de La Plata (2010), a Specialization in Economic Administrative Law from Universidad Católica Argentina (2020), and an LL.M. from New York University as a Fulbright Scholar and Michael A. Schwind Scholar in Global Law (2019). He is also a professor in the Master’s Program in Economic Administrative Law at Universidad Católica Argentina.

“We are proud to promote Gonzalo and Juan Pablo to partners. Both embody the combination of talent, technical excellence, strategic vision, and commitment to the values that define us. Their appointment strengthens our ability to support clients in complex, multidisciplinary matters in sectors full of opportunities and challenges such as mining, natural resources, fintech, and long-term project financing”, said Maximiliano D’Auro, Managing Partner of Beccar Varela.

Gonzalo Ochoa stated: “I’m thrilled to begin this new chapter as a partner. Beccar Varela has been my second home for the past twelve years, and I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute from this new role to the firm’s continued growth. We are already seeing signs of credit recovery and a surge in the fintech ecosystem, and we are confident we are well positioned to support this progress”.

Juan Pablo Perrino added: “I take this step with gratitude and enthusiasm. Drawing on my experience in public and regulatory law, I aim to contribute to strengthening the firm’s mining practice — a sector with tremendous potential for Argentina’s development”.

With these promotions, Beccar Varela reaffirms its commitment to sustainable growth and its leadership as a full-service firm dedicated to providing comprehensive and innovative solutions to its clients. Over almost 130 years of history, the firm has continued to strengthen its collaborative spirit and its ability to anticipate the needs of an evolving market, amid an economic landscape showing signs of stability and renewed long-term investment opportunities.·
