Beccar Varela advised IFC on a loan of up to USD 150 million granted to Banco BBVA Argentina

Buenos Aires, June 11, 2026 — Beccar Varela advised International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, in connection with a loan of up to USD 150,000,000 granted to Banco BBVA Argentina S.A.

The financing is intended to strengthen BBVA Argentina’s funding structure, supporting the expansion of its small and medium enterprises (SMEs) lending program in the country. This transaction represented IFC’s first long-term investment in the Argentine financial sector in the past seven years.

In this transaction, Beccar Varela advised IFC on the negotiation, structuring and documentation of the financing, as well as throughout the transaction process through closing.

The Beccar Varela team involved in the transaction included Pablo Torretta, Carolina Serra, Gonzalo Ochoa and Fermín González Arguello.
