Oil & Gas Department Report | Regulatory alert: Resolution No. 94/2020 of the National Gas Regulatory Agency
Dear Sir or Madam,
The National Gas Regulatory Agency (“ENARGAS”, for its acronym in Spanish) issued Resolution No. 94/2020, published in the Official Gazette today.
The Resolution set forth the following:
1. It repealed ENARGAS resolutions No. 421/97 and 478/97, referred to the registration of industry players and contracts related to the trading of natural gas, and No. 830/98, referred to the informative regime to which said players were subject to.
2. It approved the “Regulation for Natural Gas Traders”, which regulates the registration of industry players and contracts related to the trading of natural gas, as well as the informative regime to which said players are now subject to. In this sense, the Resolution approved the following sub-annexes of the Regulation for Natural Gas Traders: (i) Sub-annex I “Trader Registration Requirements”; (ii) Sub-annex II “Corporate Structure”; and (iii) Sub-annex III “Informative Regime for Operations”.
3. It established a registration fee of AR$54,250 for the “Natural Gas Traders Registry”.
