José Carlos Cueva is a partner at Beccar Varela since 2001. He joined the firm in 1997.

His practice areas are energy law (electricity and oil & gas) and natural resources law, including comprehensive expertise in renewable energy. He has also ample experience in economic regulation, public services and public bidding processes.

José Carlos obtained his Law degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires (1987) and his Postgraduate degree in Public Services Regulation from Universidad Austral (2001).

He has published several articles within his area of practice.

He is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association, the Instituto Argentino del Petróleo y Gas (Argentine Oil & Gas Institute), the Cámara Argentina de Energías Renovables (Argentine Chamber of Renewable Energy) where he is a member of the Board, the International Bar Association and the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation (RMMLF) .
