Federico Sosa is a partner at Beccar Varela, having joined the firm in 2002.

His practice areas include complex litigation, class actions, insolvency, and bankruptcy. He also has broad experience in corporate legal advice related to distribution and sales representative contracts.

Federico has been in the litigation area for more than ten years. He was involved in various litigation proceedings related to insolvency, bankruptcy, corporate, contract and banking issues. He has represented banks and other national and international entities in insolvency and bankruptcy procedures, guarantees enforcement, and all kind of restructuring proceedings.

He is also in charge of defending national and international clients (such as banks, insurance companies, financial entities, laboratories and other service providers) in different class actions related to diverse legal matters.

Federico obtained his Law degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires (2003) and his master’s in Corporate Law from Universidad Austral (2008). His thesis obtained the highest qualification and was published in “Revista Argentina de Derecho Empresario” (IJ Editores, Number 14, May 2015).

He authored several articles and publications about commercial, corporate, bankruptcy, banking, and consumer law. He has been an active participant in congresses and conferences related to his areas of knowledge, having been a speaker in some of them. Federico has been a teacher of Procedural Law in the Lawyers Training Program, which is organized by “Foro de Estudios sobre Administración de Justicia” (FORES) since 2010.

He is a member of the Buenos Aires Public Bar Association and the International Bar Association.

Federico has been recognized by Chambers Latin America, The Legal 500, and Benchmark Latin America.

He speaks Spanish and English.
