Eduardo Güemes is a partner at Beccar Varela since 1994, having joined the firm in 1981. He co-heads the firm’s Litigation Department.
His practice areas include complex civil and commercial litigation, insolvencies, class actions, bankruptcies, and debt restructuring.
Eduardo obtained his Law degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires (1985).
He is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association, the Colegio de Abogados de San Isidro (Buenos Aires) and the International Bar Association. He is also a full member of the Argentine Institute of Commercial Law (Instituto Argentino de Derecho Comercial), and of Buenos Aires Bar Association’s Banking Law Institute (Instituto de Derecho Bancario del Colegio Público de Abogados de la Capital Federal). He has been recognized as a Distinguished Visitor of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida & Administrative Office of the Courts (1997).
He has participated in various conferences and courses related to his specialty both in the country and abroad.
Eduardo has been recognized by Chambers Latin America and Chambers Global, The Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal, Latin Lawyer 250, LACCA Approved, Leaders League and Benchmark Latin America.
