Gonzalo A. Viña is a senior associate of Beccar Varela, having joined the firm in 2017.

He represents clients in connection with energy and infrastructure project development, construction, acquisition, disposition, and dispute resolution (arbitration). He has considerable experience in negotiating and drafting a broad variety of commercial agreements –including NDA, MOU, SPA, JVA, JOA, EPC, O&M, PPA and supply agreements– and representing clients before courts and arbitral tribunals.

Gonzalo obtained his law degree (summa cum laude) from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa in 2009 and was also recognized by the Colegio de Abogados de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires for his outstanding academic performance. In 2014, he obtained an oil & gas law postgraduate degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires and a Master’s Degree in Finance from Universidad del CEMA in 2020.

In addition, Gonzalo serves as an assistant lecturer for the international commercial arbitration course at Universidad del Salvador, and he is a frequent author on commercial, oil & gas and energy law articles.

Gonzalo is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association, the Colegio de Abogados de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, and the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation (RMMLF).

He speaks Spanish, English, and Portuguese.
